Dusty

The first thing that came to mind when I heard dusty was a dusty book but I thought that the concept of a dusty book was too cliché. So I expanded on the idea and figured that perhaps the concept of forgotten items of the past may be a better idea. So that's what I drew. I used a HB pencil and a 2H and 2B graphite pencil to cover parts and draw over sections. The word 'forgotten' is meant to look like it has been drawn in with a clean object to show the heavy dust covering the surface contrasting the two surfaces. The open book represents captured moments blank in polaroid form introducing the idea of past technology and no memory to be found. The little watch is meant to represent an also different era of this persona's life in where it may hold something special. No hands can be seen purposefully to also incorporate the meaning of forgotten with a layer of heavy dust on also.

Things to improve:
Define the picture more
Perhaps use photoshop to make 'forgotten' more outstanding
Scan it in rather than take a picture to create better quality

Chicken
Chicken is the topic that has been chosen for our Illustration to be based on so I drew the first reasonably creative idea that came into my head and this is what I produced.
Things I can do to improve my illustration:
Define the illustration to make it more clear,
Make the chicken have more 'chicken like' characteristics being more defenceless,
A better picture quality could be ensured by using different lighting.

'Greenwash'

"Greenwash is with us, and unless we take action, it is likely to be with us to
stay. Greenwash is an environmental claim which is unsubstantiated (a fib)
or irrelevant (a distraction). Found in advertising, PR or on packaging, and
made about people, organisations and products. Greenwash is an old concept,
wrapped in a very modern incarnation." - The Greenwash Guide.

Greenwash in this quote is denoted as a false environmental phrase that is used to cause a distraction to cover other issues. It can be found in adveritising, PR or packaging and made about people, organsiations and products all over. The concept is old and has been developed with more recent concepts of the modern era of now.
